Environmental stewardship has increasingly become a focal point for our entire corporate system, encompassing the management of environmental processes.

Great Place To Work® Italia

We are certified Great Place To Work® Italia, reflecting our commitment to a positive, inclusive, and trust-based workplace culture. The certification is based on employee feedback and evaluates key dimensions such as credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and collaboration. 

Gender Equality and DEI Committee

We have established a Gender Equality and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee to promote equal opportunities, inclusive practices, and non-discrimination across the organization. The Committee supports the monitoring of initiatives, policies, and actions aimed at fostering a fair and respectful working environment.

Sedex

We are Sedex members committed to responsible and ethical sourcing. In 2024, we completed a SMETA 4-pillar audit covering labour standards, health and safety, environmental management, and business ethics.  

Global GAP

Collaborations with farmers that certify their sustainability in terms of workers’ health, safety and welfare 

Local Fruit Sourcing

Fruit as a raw material is sourced primarily from Italian regions, Calabria and Sicily, and Egypt where we have our second production plant; to valorize local produce, reduce wastage, and minimize deterioration during transport. 

Yearly Donations

We allocate annual donations to initiatives and organizations aligned with our social and environmental priorities. Contributions are selected based on relevance, impact, and alignment with our values, supporting projects with measurable community benefits. 

Collaborations with Universities

We collaborate with universities to support education, research, and skills development. These partnerships foster knowledge exchange, innovation, and opportunities for students, contributing to long-term social value creation. 

Self-produced renewable energy

A photovoltaic system has been installed at our facility, capable of producing between 20% and 25% of our annual electricity needs. 184.80 kW the total Power Capacity of our photovoltaic system. 

Purchased energy (GOS)

We purchase 100% renewable electricity, certified through Guarantee of Origin (GO) certificates. 

Net-Zero Commitment

Agrumaria is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050, in line with the latest climate science. We’ve developed the following internal reduction targets to guide our efforts: 46% reduction in scope 1&2 emissions compared to 2023 baseline by 2030, 90% reduction in scope 1,2&3 compared to 2023 baseline by 2050.

Sustainability Department and
Impact Manager 

Following Agrumaria’s transition to Benefit Corporation status, the Sustainability Expert and Impact Manager ensures the pursuit of the common benefit objectives defined in the corporate bylaws, acting as a bridge between sustainability strategy and business operations. This role supports the integration of commitments to people, the value chain, the community, and the environment into daily activities and long-term strategy, in compliance with Italian Law 208/2015. 

The Sustainability Department reports directly to the CEO, ensuring strong leadership alignment and the effective integration of ESG principles into the company’s strategy and operations.

Circular economy
